 Strengthening further itsinstitutional relationship, J&K Bank today opened a facilitation counterinside the Green Campus of Central University of Kashmir (CUK) at Ganderbal. Thecounter shall facilitate fee collection for students and scholars besidesproviding other formal banking services to the employees of CUK.  

Vice-Chancellor CUK, Prof Mehraj ud Din Mirinaugurated the facilitationcounter in presence of the bank’s Cluster HeadParvaiz Ahmad, Chief Librarian Dr Abdul Majeed Baba, Deputy Registrar Dr JavaidAhmad Wani and Assistant Registrar Estates CUK Imtiyaz Ahmad Parray. Head BusinessUnit Ganderbal, faculty and administrative staff of the university, seniorofficers of the bank, scholars and students enrolled in the university werealso present on the occasion.

Acknowledging the proactive role played by J&KBank in socio-economic empowerment of the people, the Vice-Chancellor expressedhis gratitude to the bank for providing state-of-the-art banking facilities tothe faculty and students besides collaborating on multiple initiatives with theUniversity.

He expressed his desire to work with J&K Bankin areas of mutual interestand reiteratedthe commitment of CUK in fostering avibrant linkage with J&K Bank besides assuring all possible support andrequisite infrastructure for the smooth functioning of facilitation counter atCUK.

“The inauguration of the counter has been done inline with the bank’s vision of cementing relationships with all the importantinstitutions of J&K and Ladakh especially those of higher education for theoverall betterment of the society, particularly the student community”, theCluster Head said after inauguration, adding that the Chairman and ManagingDirector of the bank was particularly emotive about and committed to supportinitiatives aimed at the students’ wellbeing.

Notably, J&K Bank has already entered into anMOU with the Central University of Kashmir (CUK), whereby both institutions conferredpreferential status on each other.
