Coronavirus vaccine will be available in India by the end of 2020 if everything goes well, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Saturday. He said as soon as an effective vaccine is available for India, the country will start its manufacturing it and make it available to the public. The latest on the coronavirus vaccine in India has come just when coronavirus cases in India transcended the 30-lakh mark. The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) declared on Saturday that 3,44,91,073 samples have been tested to detect coronavirus across India as of August 22.

India's coronavirus case tally crossed the 30-lakh mark as the country reported 69,239 fresh cases and 912 deaths in the past 24 hours. The coronavirus case tally in the country surged to 30,44,941 including 7,07,668 active cases, 22,80,567 cured/discharged/migrated and 56,706 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.
