Inspector General of Police Kashmir Range, Vijay Kumar on Monday said that so far 100 militants were killed in different encounters in Kashmir valley.
IGP said 71 local & 29 foreign militants were killed in different encounters in 5 months & 12 days this year in 2022.
50 terrorists (49 local & 01 foreign) were killed last year in 2021 in the same duration, he said.
He said maximum losses to Lashkar-i-Toiba as 63 militants of terror outfit were killed and 24 militants linked with Jash-e-Mohammad terror outfit were killed during encounters .
