Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday produced Challan against the Section officer of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) office Srinagar.
ACB spokesman in a statement said, “Today on 24-06-2019, Anti-Corruption Bureau Kashmir presented charge sheet (Challan) in Case FIR No. 05/2018 P/s ACB U/S 5(1) (d) P.C Act, Svt. 2006 r/w 5(2) and Sec. 4-A (Amendment Act) 2014, against Parvaiz Ahmad Siraj SO FCS & CA office Srinagar, on the allegations of demand and acceptance a bribe of Rs. 2000/- from the complainant namely Mohammad Altaf Dar S/o Mohammad Abdullah Dar R/o Arigam in connection with processing of time bound promotion case of the complainant.”
“The accused was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.2000/- on 2nd March 2018,” he said.
“After completing the investigation of the Case sanction for the launching of prosecution of the accused was obtained from the competent authority. While presetting the challan before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Kashmir the accused was present,” said ACB spokesman in a statement.
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered an FIR against then ZEO Anantnag and Rehbar-e-Talem Teacher on Monday.
The spokesman in a statement said, “Police Station ACB, South Kashmir has registered case FIR No. 04/2019 under section 5 (2) of J&K P.C Act Svt. 2006 r/w section 120-B RPC against Ghulam Mohammad Itoo, the then ZEO Anantnag and Shafiqa Akhter a Rehbar-e-Talem Teacher of Education Department, Zone Anantnag on the basis of outcome of Preliminary Enquiry conducted in the Bureau related to drawl of salary, illegally and fraudulently in favour of said ReT Teacher during the period 2005-2013 which has inflicted monetary loss to the state exchequer.”
“The investigation of the case has been set into motion for in-depth probe,” said the spokesman.
