The nation is celebrating its 71st Republic day on 26 Jan 2020. To commemorate the essence of nationhood and to pay tribute to our martyrs, Indian Army Doda conducted               “Run for fun ‘’ event in District Doda on 25 Jan 2020. The route of the run followed the iconic   Ganpat bridge on Chenab river, Doda city to finally culminate in Sports stadium Doda. The run was flagged off by Commanding officer, Rashtriya Rifles battalion Doda in presence of eminent civil personalities of the district to include DC Doda, SSP Doda, Chief education    officer Doda, District sports officer Doda and many others. The event was publicised with    tagline “ Jab desh ki ho baar, Doda daudega desh ke saath “. It was zealously participated by more than 700 students including more than 100 girl students of Doda district. Students   wearing Tricolor T- shirt and holding Tricolor in hands ran for 05 Kms chanting patriotic songs and slogans and there could not have been a better tribute to the martyrs of the nation. Commanding officer Rashtriya Rifles Doda felicitated the first twenty runners with prizes and medals. He congratulated the participants for their overwhelming spirit and stressed that one who is physically fit can serve the country better. Such events have the potential to           considerably influence the local culture towards more constructive social environment and consequently towards Nation building.
