On the occasion of the International Day Against-Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking, today on June 26, 2019, a spade of programmes were held by DISTRICT POLICE JAMMU across the district. 

SDPO City West, DY.SP Amit Sharma  and SHO P/S Janipur organised anti-drug rally in Janipur area.  Approx. 400 persons including  schools students members of market associations, corporators and prominent citizens of the area participated in the rally.

On the occasion of the International Day Against-Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking, today on June 26, 2019, SDPO Akhnoor, DY.SP Ajay Sharma and SHO P/S Akhnoor organised anti-drug seminars at Akhnoor Town. A seminar was held where Chemist, Drivers and  prominent persons of the area participated. In the second seminar, students from different tutorials participated.  During seminar, brainstorming about the causes and effects of drug abuse were discussed. The Care for your Buddy  programme was also explained. SHO P/S Gharota, SHO P/S  Khour and I/C PP Jourian were also present there.

To commemorate the "International-Day against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking", District Police Ganderbal organized awareness campaign at Boys Higher Secondary school Safapora.
The function was marked by speeches and other programmes marked to aware the students about the bad habits and bad effects of Drug abuse. On the occasion Dr Aamir from primary Health Centre Safapora, Constable Ishfaq Ahmad from District Police Ganderbal, Vice Principal of Boys Higher Secondary School Safapora shri Khurshid Ahmad, Principal of Boys Higher Secondary School Safapora shri Abdul Ahad and Chief guest of the function Dy. SP Ganderbal Shri S.M Shafi-JKPS brought strong and common message, "The fight against drugs is a huge challenge for entire society and here parents and teachers have to play an important role by spreading moral education and counselling as well as the role of using religious teachings to make students aware about committing such sin of consuming or Trafficking drugs".
People of Safapora appreciated the efforts of District Police Ganderbal for eradication of Drug menace in Ganderbal District and Dy. SP Ganderbal assured further more efforts will be taken against the Drug menace and illicit Trafficking.
