J&K Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will take out a mega bike rally, named as “Tiranga Rally”, from Lal Chowk Srinagar on July 25 as a mark of tributes to Kargil martyrs who laid down their lives for protecting territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.

In this connection, National General Secretary BJYM Shri Vaibhav Singh chaired a review meeting at the party headquarters here. The meeting was attended by the State President BJYM Arun Prabhat and all senior office bearers of the Morcha.

Sharing the details of the upcoming ‘Tiranga Rally’, Shri Vaibhav Singh said the rally will be flagged off from Lal Chowk Srinagar on July 25 and will proceed towards Kargil town to pay tributes to Kargil martyrs.

“This is going to be the biggest event of BJYM in J&K and Ladakh after the abrogation of Article 370 to foster the ideas of nationalism and patriotism among the masses. The rally will be led by Hon’ble MP and BJYM national president Tejasvi Surya. The participants of Tiranga rally, including MPs, MLAs, national office bearers and state presidents of BJYM will pay tributes to martyrs at Kargil War Memorial on July 26,” Shri Singh said.

After paying tributes, the BJYM leader said the concluding point of ‘Tiranga Rally’ will be Lal Chowk Kargil where Union Minister and former Army Chief General VK Singh (retired) will address the large gathering.

“Tiranga Rally holds great significance and importance from the nation's perspective. It will be an occasion to remember all those who made supreme sacrifices for protecting the territorial integrity of the country. We live peacefully in our houses because our valiant soldiers guard the frontiers to protect the country. Similar Tiranga Yatras will be taken out in all states of the country,” Shri Singh said.

Speaking on the occasion, BJYM State President Arun Prabhat said that the BJYM activists are enthusatisc and elated to become the part of Tiranga Rally. “The abrogation of Article 370 has instilled a sense of national integrity among the people of J&K and Ladakh.  It will be a great honour for all BJYM activists to become a part of this Yatra as they will pay their tributes to martyrs who sacrificed their lives while protecting the interests of the nation,” he said.

S. Amandeep Singh, national media also threw light on the importance of upcoming ‘Tiranga Rally’ and asked BJYM activists to take part in large numbers.

Earlier, threadbare discussions were held and preparations were finalized for the mega ‘Tiranga Rally’.
