Kashmir Hockey player Inayat Manzoor created history by playing senior National Championship organized by IHF( Indian Hockey Federation).
She says that she had not played hockey before she entered Government Degree College in Srinagar. She has become an inspiration for a lot of budding players in Kashmir. 
As she belongs to a middle class family her parents were not keen on sending her for trails and national camp but her coaches eventually convinced them. She has participated in National camp in Bangalore, Patiala and Jammu. She is practising hard to improve her game inspite of all odds stacked against her including infrastructure of Hockey in Kashmir.  As she is still in final year, she says she will improve her game and represent India in International matches. She had become an inspiration for lot of girls in Kashmir.
