A brief exchange of firing was reported between militants and forces after forces laid siege around Dehruna area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

Reports reaching said that a joint team of Army's 19RR and SOG Anantnag launched a search operation in Dehruna.

The officer further said that firing has stopped from both sides but we have tightened the cordon and have sealed all exit points, the officer added.

Government forces on Saturday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Sopore village of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Reports reaching said that additional reinforcements of army and Special Operation Group of police have been rushed to Hathlangoo village in Sopore area as chances of encounter between forces and militants believed to be holed up are rife.

One militant is believed to be trapped in the area, reports said.SSP Sopore Javeed Iqbal told that search operation in the area is going on.

In Panzgam village, Pulwama, One more terrorist is killed and in total, three terrorists were eliminated. Weapons and warlike stores were recovered.
