Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh flankedby children of Police Housing Colony, inaugurated open air gym at Gulshan Ground Jammu.

On this occasion IGP Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh, SSP Jammu ShriShridhar Patil, AIG (Welfare/Comm.) PHQ Shri Manoj Pandit SP (Hqrs.) Jammu ShriRaja Adil Hameed , SP (South) Shri Deepak Digra and other jurisdictional officers were present.

The DGP J&K  afterinauguration interacted with the children of the Police Housing Colony andadvised them to take full advantage of the machines which have been installed.He said that open air gyms have been installed in various cities across thecountry and provide a good facility to the people particularly the fitnessenthusiasts near their homes in an open and natural environment with fresh airaround. He said that the Jammu and Kashmir Police plans to have such facilitiesat other places in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He also hoped thatsimilar facility will come up shortly in Police Housing Colony, Bemina Srinagaras well.

The DGP J&K sought technical details and maintenancerequirement on the spot from the officers. He complimented District PoliceJammu for completing the project and hoped that other districts will also comeup with projects plans which will benefit the general community.

There are about 19 units which include Twister, Abb Machine,Shouder Press, Chest Press, Rowing, Stepper, Walker, Abb Shaper, and Spider forexercising practice of different parts of body from hand to feet. Moreover oneGaxibo, one Children Slider, LED lights and Iron benches etc have also beeninstalled in the open air gym.
