Director Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu Sh. Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan inspects the Treasuries of Jammu City i:e Saddar Treasury, Jammu, Addl. Treasury New Plot, Addl. Treasury Gandhi Nagar and Addl. Treasury Talab Tillo Muthi, Jammu today on Wednesday 29th of April, 2020 and took a stock of Treasury functioning amid Covid-19 pandemic. As the previous financial year 2019-20 has recently been closed and the accounts for the m/o March, 2020 were to be submitted to the concerned quarters within stipulated time, the Director took a detail review of the rendition of accounts of all these Treasuries. The Director issued onspot instructions to the Treasury Officers not to delay any accounts which shall later on result in unnecessary raising of objections from the concerned quarters.   
The Director also issued onspot instructions to the staff of Treasuries to strictly implement the Govt. advisories issued on COVID-19 from time to time and also directed to wear mandatory face masks, maintain social distancing and sanitize the Treasuries. Further, the Treasury Officers were also directed to keep the Treasury premises and its vicinity neat and clean in order to contain the spread of COVID-19. The Director impressed upon the Treasury Officers to prioritise their work and asked to attend the elderly people visiting Treasury in connection with their pension issues on priority as the elderly people are more vulnerable as per the health advisories of the Government and shall not made to sit and wait at Treasuries.     
Moreover, the Director also enquired onspot about the implementation of JKPaySys and e-Kuber in the Treasuries. He also directed all the Treasury Officers to reverify the CPIS accounts of the employees in respect of their DDOs and organize workshops in their respective Treasuries strictly adhering to the guidelines issued in respect of COVID-19 and to redress the issues of all the DDOs on a/c of PaySys which stands implemented in the City Treasuries since August 2019.
