Jammu and Kashmir National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah on July 9, Saturday, expressing sorrow about the Amarnath cloud burst incident, said that a probe must be carried out and that the government "needs to explain" what happened.
Abdullah said the incident is "unfortunate" and that the government must investigate why tents for pilgrims were out up at a risky place and that it's the first time the tents were placed there. "this could be a human error," he added.
Speaking further, he also said that he hopes good compensation is provided to the families of deceased persons.
