Government Degree College Jammu City Paloura (Mishriwala), Jammu organized inter-college poster making competition on the theme "Fight against the Corona-virus Pandemic" under the supervision of Principal. Prof. Rita Bhagat and Prof.Norayon Dutt convener of the programme. The competition was organised by NSS programme officer Dr. Sanjay Kapoor (Assistant Professor Chemistry) of the college. The motive of the competition was to aware the students about the COVID-19 virus and preventive measures to be taken like hand hygiene, social distancing, use of masks and other precautions.

About 44 students from various colleges of J&K took partin the competition. The jury comprised of Prof. Hans Raj Principal GDC Khour,Dr. Anil Ganjoo Principal GDC Kunjwanl and Dr. Kuldeep Sharma Principal GDC Bhaderwah who declared results of the competition. The First position wasbagged by Amandeep Kour, Rabia lqbal of MBS College of Engineering and Technology Jammu and Samridhi Sharma of GCW, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The Second Position was secured by two students namely Anuj Kumar of GDC Udhampur and Kalpana Yadav of GDC Paloura. Further the third Position was bagged by Five Students namely Anmol Sudarshan of GDC Kishtwar, Amrik Singh of MBS College of Engineering and Technology Jammu, Anjali Mehra of GDC Jourian, Suhani Kalotra and Roomani Panooch of GDC Billawar. E-certificates were given to the winners.
