Girls outshone boys as the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Monday declared the much-awaited results of the Secondary School (Class X) Examination Annual Regular of Summer Zone (Jammu Province), here.
Students who have appeared for the JKBOSE Class 10 examination 2020 can check their results on the official website jkbose.ac.in. Candidates need to key in their roll numbers to see their score.
As per an official gazette, the overall pass percentage remained 70 per cent, with girls securing a pass percentage of 72 per cent, while boys had a pass percentage of 68 per cent.
Of the total 53,807 candidates that appeared in the examination, 37,458 were declared qualified, while 16222 did not qualify.
As many as 3,465 students got A1 grade, 4,999 got A2 grade, 6,033 students got B1 grade, 7,549 students got B2 grade, 8,469 students got C1 grade, 6,229 students got C2 grade and 723 students got D grade.
Of the total candidates that appeared in the examination, 29,487 were boys, while 24320 were girls. Of the 37,458 qualified candidates, 19,957 were boys, while 17,501 were girls.
Last year, 34,651 students had qualified for Class X examination. The overall pass percentage stood at 64.91 per cent, with girls (67.26 per cent) outperforming the boys (64.91 per cent).
Due to the Novel Coronavirus, many of the answer scripts of Class X and XII were evaluated by sub-examiners/evaluators at their homes, instead of routine table evaluation.As per a report, the results have been declared online to ensure that students remain safe and do not venture out of their homes amid the coronavirus pandemic. The distribution of physical marksheets and result certificates will be done at a later date in staggered form throughout respective schools.
