The school education department has decided to clear all the pending salaries of teachers and also hold Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) later this month.
The decision has been take after the persistent demand of the teachers who are without salaries for the past several months.
Principal Secretary School Education Department, Asgar Samoon Saturday took to his twitter handle and announced that the issue about release of pending salaries of teachers and holding of DPCs will be resolved on priority in April month.
“School education directors, CEOs and ZEOs- list doable priority areas for April 2020 -pay salaries, hold DPCs; regularize ReTs, deliver midday meals, books and uniforms to all kids,” Samoon tweeted.
He tweeted that Rs 50 crore were available for distribution of Mid-Day Meals, uniform and books to students. “Hold e-classes and tele classes for kids; equip smart class rooms (Rs 150 crore available),” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, the teachers demanded that the department should also issue confirmation orders of the decisions taken in previous DPC meeting which was held in September 2019.
“Great directive, but already held DPCs may be implemented as it is pending since September 2019. Unnecessary delay and indefinite suffering. Kindly intervene,” a teacher replied to the Samoon’s tweet.
