The newly constructed Emergency Building of GovernmentHospital located at Mendhar Sub Division of Poonch district has come under thescanner. This Emergency block has been constructed by PWD Departmant at anestimated cost or 4.6 Crore, the construction work was started in the year 2009and completed in 2019.The building was to be handed over to HospitalAdministration after completion, however the hospital administration hasrefused to take possession of the Newly constructed building.
Block Medical Officer Dr. Parvez Khan when contacted saidthat "There are too many leakages in the building and hospitaladministration can't take possession of the building in suchcircumstances". The hospital administration has apprised the DistrictDevelopment Commissioner Rahul Yadav about the situation and told him that theSlab of the building has a lot of Leakages and is completely damaged, thereforethe hospital administration can't take possession of the Emergency block builtby PWD.
After the receiving a written complaint from.the BMO DeputyCommissioner Rahul Yadav framed a committee of ADC Poonch, CMO Poonch,Executive Engineers PWD and BMO Mendhar who inspected the building and foundthat building is indeed in Dilapidated condition with a lot of leakages and athrough enquiry needs to be initiated to fix the responsibility on the officersinvolved. The building needs to be repaired and handed over to the hospitaladministration.
The BMO said that after thorough inspection he found thatbuilding had a lot of leakages and when he brought the issue to the notice ofDeputy Commissioner, he took a serious view of the situation and framed acommittee to look into the matter and finally the building was found to be inDilapidated condition with a lot of leakages and now the responsible officersshall be brought to book.
