Continuing its Crusade against Drugs, SOG Jammu achieved a major success by recovering 1650 gm heroin from a member of interstate group of drug smugglers today.
Reports said that SOG Jammu and sleuths of PS Bahufort apprehended a group of interstate drug peddlers who were found in possession of 1650 gm of Heroin like substance, as well as cash amounting to Rs. 2.95 lakh. The identities of the arrested peddlers have been ascertained as ; Mohd Iqbal Wani S/o Wali Mohd Wani R/o ChewaKalan, Pulwama , Nisar Ahmed Genai S/o Abdul Jawar Genai R/o Pulwama, Chewakalan, Ashraf Bhat HC 881355 AP 5th s/o Gh Mohi u din Bhat r/o Marhama Sangam , Kulvinder kour w/o Palvinder Singh r/o Pungar Hoshiarpur Punjab, Seema Rani w/o Balvinder Singh r/o Phillaur Jalandhar Punjab, Sanjay kumar s/O satpal R / o Anandpur Bishnah Distt Jammu and Rajkumar s/ O kamal kashore R/O Pathankot chani Punjab. Three vehicles in which they were travelling (Jk03D 0496 - swift desire; JK 02BK 7040 - Wagon R; PB07AE 6645 - VW POLO) have been also seized and Case FIR no 157 /2019 u/s 8/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bahufort and investigation initiated.
The whole exercise was closely monitored by SSP SOG Jammu Sh. Sandeep Mehta- JKPS and was carried out under the supervision of SSP Jammu Sh. Tejinder Singh –IPS
