Scaling up its Gold Loan Scheme,J&K Bank extended its gold loan facility to four of its business units i.e. Rehari and Shalamar Road in Jammu and Barzulla besides S R Gunj in Kashmir.
The bank’s President Arun Gandotra snapped the formal ribbonsat the business units in Jammu in presence of Zonal Head Jammu Central – I Sunit Kumar, Cluster Heads while as in Srinagar he did the honours in presence of Zonal Head Kashmir Central – I Syed Rais Maqbool, Cluster Heads amid gatherings of valuable customers, prospective clients and the officers of the bank.
Speaking on the occasions, Arun Gandotra said, “Gold is gold and has stayed so always in terms of its rich value both in monetary and cultural terms. And with the kind of surge that gold prices have seen in the recent times, it remains as one of the best commodities to invest in. And from here begins the role of our Gold Loan Scheme that allows for loans ranging from Rs 10000 to Rs 15 Lacs against gold ornaments and jewelry thereby ensuring that you use your gold to meet your varied requirements without losing it.”
“Although the bank launched this product almost a year ago but the facility was restricted to some designated business units. And keeping in view the response we got, we are extending this important facility to business units like these and I urge all of you to avail this wonderful product and make your gold earn more value for you while remaining in your ownership”,he added
Notably, JK Bank Loan against Gold Ornaments and Jewellery is the product designed with the best of features suited to the needs and tastes of varied sections of society having a low rate of interest, annual roll over facility and maximum quantum of finance available in the industry.
Meanwhile, deepening its footprints further through alternate delivery channels, J&K Bank commissioned four more Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in district Anantnag.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag Khalid Jehangir inaugurated the ATM at Ranipora in presence the bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (South II) Mohammad Ayub Wanchoo amid a gathering of valuable customers and officers of the bank besides dedicating the ATMs at Aishmuqam, Salia and Cheki Wangund areas of Anantnag to the general public through e-inauguration mode.
Speaking after the inauguration, DDC Anantnag KhalidJehangir, who was also the Chief Guest on the occasion, highlighted theimportance of delivering digital services near the doorsteps of people residingin far-off places. He hailed the efforts of the bank in taking lead forcreating a robust IT-based banking infrastructure evenin far flung areas forthe convenience of people.
Urging the people of the area to take full advantage of thesefacilities which were also demanded by them during the government's Back toVillage programme, the DDC advised the bank's staff to ensure round the clockfunctionality of the ATMs.
Notably, with the inaugurations, the total number of ATMs inthe zone has gone up to 118 with overall number of installed ATMs going up to1351 across the country.
