According to the administartion of the J&K government 1165 out of 1166 chemist shops have remained open and in entire Kashmir valley 65% of the shops remained open. The administration added that all notified 376 medicines are available in the valley and 62 essential drugs are also available on adequate quantity. 
According to the JK administartion, 3 persons each stationed at Jammu and Chandigarh for quick dispatch of medicines and baby food. 
Some reports on Friday suggested that there is acute shortage of life saving drugs in Kashmir and doctors are having a tough time saving the patients, the Government came out with a clarification following these reports.
