Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh today   inaugurated Lal Draman Festival and 3.15 MVA,33/11 KV Receiving Station here at Marmat.

Constructed under RGGVY, the newly constructed Receiving station will benefit 20000 souls of the area.

Earlier, the Union Minister chaired a meeting of the district administration and reviewed the achievements under centrally sponsored schemes and developmental projects being implemented by different departments.

At the outset, the District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode   briefed the union Minister about the ongoing developmental projects and status of centrally sponsored schemes in the district.

Dr Jitendra asked the DDC to work in coordination with newly elected PRIs for the identification of PMGSY works which aims at strengthening the road connectivity of the unconnected areas. 

Inquiring about the functioning of newly established Government Medical College Doda,   Dr Jitendra Singh assured serious efforts are being made to make the prestigious  institution functional from the next year. 

While discussing the issue of Bhagwah Defence Road,   the Minister directed the DDC to follow up the matter with BRO on priority basis for the timely completion of the project.

He impressed upon the administration to enroll the deserving left out beneficiaries under PM KISAN and implement the other centre sponsored schemes like Ayushmann Bharat,Jal  Shakti  Abhiyan in letter and spirit for the benefits of the needy people of the district.

He said that Prime Minister Narindra Modi has laid special stress on the proper implementation of all the poverty elevation schemes in the country.

The DDC further briefed about various other important projects  taken up in the district including construction of road for KV Bhaderwah, and National High altitude Medicinal plant. 

Several other issues were also discussed during the meeting like  proposal of government colleges for Bhella and Marmat, CRF roads. 

The meeting was attended by ADC Doda Kishori Lal Sharma, ADC Bhaderwah Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti, CPO Doda Parshotam Kumar besides other district and sectoral officer's of the district administration.
