A group of masked gunmen on Tuesday looted Rs 3.5 lakh from Grameen Bank in the city outskirts on Srinagar-Bandipora road, official sources said.
This was the second bank robbery in less than a week in the valley.
They said a group of three masked men entered Mujgund branch of Grameen Bank this afternoon.
Sources said masked gunmen decamped with Rs 3.5 lakh after threatening the employees, they said.
Security forces and a police team from Parimpora police station reached the spot and started investigation.
A massive hunt has been launched to nab the looter, they said.
On March 12, gunmen looted cash Rs 2.25 lakh from Grameen bank branch at village Ogmuna, Kunzar, Tangmarg in Baramulla district.
