The new government under PM Modi announced several big decisions today in its first cabinet meeting. Among them the biggest decision was the extension of PM KISAN scheme and pension for Traders and shopkeepers. 
The cabinet also enhanced the Scholarship amount of PM Scholarship scheme under National Defence Fund from Rs.2000 to Rs. 2500,  and 2250 to 3000 per month for the girls of the Martyred soldiers and CRPF Jawans.
The extension of PM KISAN scheme would mean that 15 crore farmer families in India shall get RS. 6000 per annum in three installments in their accounts. 
The PM also announced pension scheme for the traders and shopkeepers who can avail the scheme and get a minimum pension benefit of Rs.3000 per month after attaining age of 60 years.
