JK bank approved housing loan on the construction of illegal house of VC, CUJ on Khad
National Secular Forum (NSF) has sought a CBI enquiry to probe the nexus between VC, CUJ and J&K bank officials for building an illegal mansion of 5 crores on 36 marlas of Khad land without building permission.
Addressing the press-conference here today, Dr Vikas Sharma State President NSF said that VC, CUJ took a loan of rupees 25 lakh from JK bank for a building of 5 crore which has been declared as illegal structure by JMC in different notices served to him and this is another scam in JK bank after the latest scam of Hilal Rather, son of former finance minister who is in jail. He said loan of 25 lakh was sanctioned and used by Prof Ashok Aima on his wife’s' name by providing fake documents to bank and he also said it needs to be enquired is there any relation of him transferring the University land to J&K bank and sanctioning of his house loan on fake documents for illegal structure on Khad land.
He further said it seems like Central University of Jammu (CUJ) has become epitome of corruption in J&K. A VC, few years back when VC was a Contractual professor in CUJ had taken a house loan of 6 lakh rupees from SBI bank for renovation of his old house at Gandhi Nagar is now building a new mansion of minimum 5 crore(according to current market and building cost) in Posh Sainik Colony.
Flaying BJP Govt for its delaying tactics over a complaint filed by whistle-blowers and virtually sleeping over a serious matter of financial irregularities, Dr. Vikas Sharma also said that the home loan is sanctioned only if building plan is approved by JMC but in his case ,he managed to get home loan without building permission.
Dr Vikas further elaborated that the Vice Chancellor, CUJ Ashok Aima has bought a land of 36 marlas on 19th July 2018 after 3 years of his VCship on his wifes' name. Registry of 18.5 marlas land under Khasra no-658 have already been done on his wife's name and he has made a payment of 18 more marlas to owner but kept registry on hold when news of his illegal building came out in market after making the payments through cheque numbers of SBI and JK banks: 356311 for 7 lac, 246499 for 8 lac, 433872 for 2 lac ,966500 and 850960 for 12.75 lac. He said that the market value of land is 7-9 lakh per marla which comes around 2.1 crore and minimum construction cost is rupees 2800-3000 per square feet which comes around 2.8 crore for his huge three story mansion and total cost of his project is 4.8 crore approx.
Dr Vikas further said a controversial VC who is already in news for his illegal manipulation of teaching roster for appointing his favourite candidates, for not disclosing visitor(President of India) committee report in which committee concluded enquiry initiated against faculty members was a cooked story by him and was a deliberate attempt to harass them, for allocating a project of more than 2 crore to a blue eyed faculty who was rejected by a previous committee and recruited by him, for purchasing sub standard gym equipments, for making payments for electrical work of 11 crores to Pvt companies against the recommendation of Finance Officer, legal officer and then Xen, for taking Anti-Jammu and anti-youth step of stopping job-oriented course to settle his personal score with some staff members .
Dr Vikas further demand immediate CBI probe of purchases done during his tenure, projects managed by him at JU and CUJ, to check bills of material of his house and to expose the nexus between VC and JK Bank officials, for sanctioning his illegal Home loan and to find out his assets and source of income.
