Urging people not to resort to violence and protests, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said top Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Riyaz Naikoo’s destiny was decided the moment he picked up the gun.
Mr Omar, who identified himself Former PSA Political detainee, former CM of J&K state, former Union Minister, former MP, former MLA. Vice President @JKNC in a tweet said “#RiyazNaikoo’s destiny was decided the moment he picked up the gun & adopted the path of violence & terror. His death must not be used as an excuse by some to put more people in harm’s way by provoking violence & protests”.
Naikoo, most wanted active since 2012, was killed in an encounter by security forces in Beighpora, Awantipora in Pulwama early this morning. His accomplice was also killed in the encounter.
