‘100 Companies Coming from Outside Will Replace Training Companies of Paramilitary Forces’

 Appealing People Notto give ear to rumours, Additional Director General Police (ADGP) Law and Order Muneer Khan Saturday said 100 companies of paramilitary forces will replace those personnel of training companies, who are deployed on various duties since last year starting from Urban Local Bodies elections.“Around 200 training companies are presently performing duties in the Valley which are to be replaced in phased manner. More training companies will be relived in due course of time with fresh forces. Presently around 200 companies ofparamilitary are deployed in Kashmir,” he told Kashmir News Service

“Reality is that 200 training companies of paramilitary forces were in Kashmir since the commencement of Urban Local Body elections.They had come from outside state and are performing their duties since thenwithout any break and were overstretched. Now they will be replaced by these 100 companies and it is a routine exercise being carried out. In the first, 100companies will replace the training companies and in next phase another 100 companies will replaces the rest of the training companies,” Khan said.

Asked to comment about the apprehensions of the people that Centre was planning to revoke Article 35A, after August 15, due to which theadditional deployments were being made, the ADGP Khan said, “It is a rumourm ongering and there is no truth in it. These apprehensions are totally unfounded..
