In Jammu and Kashmir, a passenger died and three others were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling came under shooting stones near Gangroo Ramsoo on Jammu-Srinagar highway last evening. The vehicle was onway to Jammu from Banihal.
Meanwhile, the 300 km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is closed for traffic today due to accumulation of snow near Jawahar Tunnel and other areas.
About 3500 vehicles carrying essential commodities to Srinagar and about 1,000 passenger vehicles are stranded on the highway at various places. According to the Traffic Police, once the road is cleared, only stranded vehicles will be allowed to proceed towards Srinagar.
