A Pakistani terrorist affiliated with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was gunned down by security forces on Monday during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore.
The encounter broke out after the security forces launched a search operation after getting specific information about the presence of the terrorists in there, police said.
One AK rifle, five magazines along with incriminating materials including ammunition have been recovered from the possession of the slain terrorist, said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
As per the documents recovered from the terrorist, he has been identified as Hanzalla of Lahore in Pakistan, Kumar added.
The senior police official further said that two foreign terrorists and one local terrorist escaped from the cordon and a search is underway to nab them.
