Protests were witnessed in many areas of Kashmir against the rape of a three year old girl. The news if protests came from various colleges in Srinagar where people demanded examplery punishment to the culprit. Various senior leaders also condemned the act and joined the public.

The protestors have blocked Pulwama-Srinagar road. The protestors were demanded exemplary punishment against the rape accused and said the investigations should be completed on fast track basis.
Locals said the local police deployed in the area tried to pacify the protestors triggering clashes.
“Police resorted to tear gas shelling and used pellets to disperse the protesting youth," locals told KNO. Clashes were going on when the report was being filed. Already, an FIR number 81/2019, under section 363/342/376 RPC has been registered in Sumbal police station.
