Local residents of a backward village, Anderwali in South Kashmir's Pulwama district staged a candlelight protest against PDD ( Power Developement Department)  for failing to supply them electricity during biting cold.

Manzoor Ahmad Gorsi, a local resident of Anderwali Sangerwani village of Pulwama said that their village was frequently suffering from power outages and after they raised this issue with higher authorities in a recently held back to village , the power supply has been almost stopped.

They alleged that electricity supply lines which are hanginging from tree tops have decomposed and pose a threat to civilian population. The residents said that they pay electricity bills like other areas surrounduing them but PDD is not supplying them  power supply as per schedule.  The residents appealed to higher authorities for addressing thier grievience .
