Keeping in view the evolving COVID situation and the pressure on the health infrastructure, the Government of J&K has decided to extend the service/ tenure of all medical doctors in all government institutions who are retiring from May this year onwards till 31.12.2021.
This will be an extension in existing service/ tenureIn recognition of the hard work being put in by the healthcare COVID warriors of J&K and the 24x7 work being done by them tirelessly, the Hon'ble LG of J&K has decided to give them a COVID incentive for 3 months. The incentive will be Rs 10,000 p.m. for Resident Doctors, PGs and Medical Officers, Rs 7,000 p.m. for Nursing and Paramedical staff, and Rs 5,000 p.m. for Drivers, Sweepers and Attendants. This will be paid from May 2021 onwards.
