The Notre Dame which is one of the most popular tourist destination in France was damaged due to a devastating fire on 15th April 2019, burning for around 15 hours. According to the French media reports, the fire was caused due to renovation and restoration work which has been going on for last one month.
Notre Dame was built in 200 years and is one of the tallest Cathedrals in Europe and is a symbol of Christianity all across the world.
The people around the world had expressed shock and sorrow about its damage on 15th April, however the exact loss to the 12th Century Cathedral is being worked out and the reconstruction work shall start soon after.
