SSP level Officer of JK Police Applies for voluntary retirement

In a significant development, a senior Police Officer has applied for voluntary retirment from services.

Sources told that Firdous Iqbal (SSP) presently posted as Commandant in Armed Battalion has formally written to Director General of Police requesting for sanction to VRS. This is probably for the first time in recent history of J&K Police that an officer of SSP rank has opted for VRS. Firdous Iqbal is a KPS officer of 1999 batch who has worked in different capacities including as Regional Passport Officer Kashmir.

Despite repeated attempts , Firdous Iqbal could not be reached for his word.
