Indian Army has been constantly acting on need of the hour undertaking variety of civic action projects for the welfare of the Awam of J&K. Seeing the fear psychosis on spread of CORONA virus, Sabre Brigade of Rising Star Corps in close coordination with the District administration of Samba and Jammu, organized a Medical camp at Ratnuchak(J&K) to reach out to the rural public and address the need of the hour concern on CORONA in a highly appealing manner.
Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, GOC Rising Star Corps also visited the camp. The GOC was briefed by Brig Vishal Singh, Commander Sabre Brigade on the prevailing health and local issues. The GOC interacted with local populace,appreciated the dedicated efforts of organisers, team of Doctors from Army and civil and appealed towards precious contribution from all to fight this Pandemic. A large number of locals from the nearby rural areas including members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal settlements who have limited access to quality medical care availed the facility. Wide publicity and awareness ensured huge attendance and were distributed with sanitizers and masks to contribute towards prevention against spread of CORONA.
The locals also availed the facilities of specialists:Gynecologist, pediatrician, Eye, ENT, Medical, Dental and Veterinary ensuring a compressive medical cover, providing the local populace, a single point medical solution to their health issues. On the occasion, Mrs Princee Singh, Chairperson FWO felicitated the disabled NOKs with Wheelchair and Mobility aids. The camp provided quality diagnosis, treatment and awareness against CORONA to the poor and needy sections of the society, further strengthening the bond of “AWAM” andthe “JAWAN”.
