National Conference Additional General Secretary and Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of MakarSankranti, praying this festival to foster the spirit of unity and joy among the people.On Mr Sadhotra’s arrival at DEV BHOOMI Baba Kapil Muni Ji Maharaj Ram Mandir Changhi WaleBabaji at Chakrali, last village on the border, Baba Som Dutt Ji and Committee of the templewelcomed Mr Sadhotra and offered Mata Rani ki Chunni of Blessing.
Addressing a big congregation at the Ram Mandir of Changhi Wale Babaji, Mr Sadhotra prayedthis festival to bring prosperity and happiness to all.“Let us share the joy of Makar Sankranti with the world and foster a sense of togetherness”, hesaid, adding that all religions preach amity and brotherhood.
This spirit of inclusiveness has tobe carried forward with a sense of commitment to make this world a better place to live in, hesaid adding the biggest challenge before the civilized world is to eschew the tendencies ofhatred and divisiveness.
Sadhotra urged the devotees to rise to the occasion and foil the machinations of the divisiveforces to retain the composite culture of the country in general and Jammu and Kashmir inparticular.
He said the erstwhile state has a rich legacy of togetherness that is not only to besustained but promoted for overall good of the posterity.
Referring to the long pending demand of the connectivity to the temple, Mr Sadhotra expressedhappiness over the work having finally been taken up after continued persuasion.
He called foradequate infrastructural development of the place, locating the heritage worship placeadjacent to the Sangam of three rivers.
He hoped the road network will also benefit the people of the adjoining areas. Sadhotra prayed for peace and tranquility besides well being of all, irrespective of caste,creed and religion. He hoped that all the festivals are observed as per the glorious heritage ofJammu and Kashmir.
In his discourse Baba Som Dutt Ji blessed Mr Sadhotra and called for strengthening the bondsof amity, ensuring social justice and working towards harmonious growth of the society.
This isessence of Dharma that stands for equality and justice for all, he added.Baba Som Dutt Ji wished the devotees a joyful and prosperous Makar Sankranti.
