Today on 14.04.2021 on the occasion of 130th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Rattan Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar  

a function was organised by Former Chairman JMC and Corporator Ward no 12 Sh. Jeet Kumar Angral in which Member of Parliament Lok Sabha Jammu Poonch Jugal Kishore Sharma was the Chief guest along with other prominent Members of society State Seh Prabhar Ayodhya Gupta,District President BJP Jammu West Sh Munish Khajuria, District General Secretary Sh. Karan Sat Sharma and Mandal President BJP Sh Kesav Chopra.State SC Morcha Vice President Sh Krishan Kumar Digra,Ashok Ghandi District President BJP SC Morcha,Sh Yash Shivgotra at Ward No 12 Canal Road Jammu.

Speaking to the people on this occasion, Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Baba Saheb has a great Contribution to the Country and done a lot of work for uplifting and upbringing of the weaker section of the society.Samrasta meaning equality to everyone was the greatest teaching of Baba Saheb. His dream was to build a great India in which everybody is equal, with equal liberties and equal rights irrespective of their caste, colour or religion. He said that today the message of Samrastra is being delivered to every corner of India by Bharatiya Janata Party and due to the efforts of Our Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi Ji India is emerging in top list among the developing countries.He hoped that we all should take inspiration from the life of Baba Saheb and should incorporate their teachings in our life.

Member of Parliament among all the leaders and prominent citizens paid tribute to Baba Saheb Bheem rao Ambedkar Ji and the program started by all the guests getting together with discussing the great deeds of Baba Saheb.After offering tribute and prayers books were distributed among the children of the ward as a way of providing and promoting education which was a dream of Baba Saheb. 

Swachata Abhiyaan was also organised on the occasion and during the drive all the guests and citizens together cleaned the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park to make it clean and to spread the message that cleanliness is important in your homes as well as your surroundings. 

Langar was also organized in the memory of Baba Saheb in which the visiting guests distributed food material among the people.The people whole heartedly took part into the  whole drive to make it successful. 

Samrasta Diwas was also celebrated followed by a get together breakfast at the house of Tarsem Lal, who belongs to the Scheduled Caste community to convey the message of equality to whole country.
