JAMMU: Promoting a noble cause to help the differently abled, Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) handed over a TVS Wego Scooty to a differently abled person from Jammu West Assembly segment. The amount for two wheeler was given by Former MLA through his CDF (Constituency Development Fund) scheme during his tenure and funds were sanctioned some time back. Though social welfare department approached the beneficiary but hedecided to take scooty from hands of Former MLA. The beneficiary include SunilKumar who hails from Ward 25, Rehari Colony.

Accompanied by a large number of people, Sharma handed over the two wheeler in the presence of a large number of people including District President BJP Ayodhya Gupta, Corporator and Chairman SJC jeet Angral,Corporator Ward 9 Suneet Raina Shree and many locals of the area including social and political activists were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is ourduty to help such people as they are also part of our society. He said due tomis-happenings in their lives, they lost their ability to walk properly andkeeping other things in mind as well it was decided that a two wheeler must begiven so that they can commute anywhere freely without the help of others.

He also appreciated the efforts of Social Welfare Department as well and stated that there are certain schemes of Department as well under which disabled persons are provided with relief and moreover thousands of people hailing from Jammu West have already been provided with benefits of various schemes of social welfare including widow pension, old age pension,pension for disabled, marriage assistance scheme for girls and many more and it will be also seen in the coming days that such persons who are left will be located in the Constituency and every possible help will be provided to them through various schemes.

The beneficiary and residents of the area also hailed the initiative of the Former MLA by helping the needy in every noble cause.

Vijay Sharma, Munish Khajuria, Sanjeev Sharma, Urvashi Gupta, Deepak Kumar, Onkar Singh Bose, Inderjeet Sawhney, Sudesh Kumari, Vikas Bali, Anil angral, Ramesh Kumar,Rajan Bhan, Mangal Singh Kuttu, Sanjeev Vohra, Kuldeep Mahajan and several others were also present when Former MLA handed over the two wheeler to differently abled.
