Luminous, in partnership with Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust ( Art of Living Bangalore), proudly announced the completion of a two-month Solar PV Installation Technician Training Course at NITS Polytechnic, Indra Nagar, Miran Sahib, Jammu on 08-02-2024. A total of 30 diligent trainees from rural background underwent intensive training from November 6, 2023, to January 6, 2024, to equip themselves with the skills necessary for excelling in the field of solar energy.
The certificate distribution ceremony, held to honour the dedication and hard work of the participants. Mr. Avinash Sharma, sales head and Mr. Rajnish, Service Head of Luminous J&K, honoured the occasion with their presence, providing encouragement and recognition to the accomplished trainees. They exhorted the trainees to work hard and keep updating their skills and further emphasised the importance of such initiatives in promoting skill development in the renewable sector particularly solar energy.
Mr. Savinder Gupta, Chairman NITS Polytechnic, was the Chief Guest of the occasion. He expressed that this certificate distribution ceremony will not only mark the culmination of the training course but also symbolize the beginning of a promising journey for the trained individuals in the solar energy sector. It will also showcase the commitment of all the stakeholders towards fostering skill development and sustainability in the region.
Mr. Anirudh Gupta, the program's coordinator, highlighted the significant collaboration between NITS Polytechnic, Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust, Schneider Electric and Luminous in establishing a state-of-the-art Solar Lab, a unique endeavour in Jammu aimed at training candidates in solar sector. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries; SSRDP trust and Luminous Company for their invaluable support in providing this opportunity to the students and expressed hope for future collaborative ventures.
