JAMMU, May 02: Payinglittle attention to the pleas of Jammu wing, the J&K Football Association(JKFA) has planned to hold the finals of the 26th State FootballChampionship without Jammu team.

The departmentalside of J&K Police alongwith J&K Bank Academy had been included from Jammu in the four-team finals atSrinagar.

Important to mention herethat four teams made it to the semifinals, two each from Kashmir and Jammu legof the State Championship. And then there was an unnecessary delay in start ofthe finals at Srinagar by the JKFA.

“The semifinals werescheduled and teams were intimated on a very short notice. Since the J&KBank Academy is represented by mostly young school goers, the boys expressedtheir inability to take part in the competition due to their examinations. But,the JKFA was adamant to hold matches as per their will paying little attentionto the pleas by the Jammu team,” informed sources told SAN.

The JKFA has drawn the fixture with three teamsof J&K Police, DFA Srinagar and Real Kashmir to play the league round fromtomorrow onwards.
