The 71 st Republic Day of India was celebrated with full zeal and
enthusiasm by the Tourism Federation of Jammu in its office premises at Rail Head
Complex, Bahu Plaza, Jammu. Celebrations started with unfurling and hoisting of the
National Flag “Tricolour”, singing of the National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana”, followed by
distribution of sweets.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta, Chairman, Tourism Federation of Jammu said that
26th January 2020 marks the first Republic Day of the newly-carved out Union Territory of
Jammu and Kashmir, after the abrogation of Article 370. After 71 long years, people of J&K
are breathing the air of justice, peace and prosperity. On this Republic Day, let’s join hands
and make our Nation reach new heights of development in the years to come.
Sending Republic Day wishes to all the fellow citizens, Raman Suri, General Secretary
Tourism Federation of Jammu said, India is one of the oldest Nation in the world and has
evolved culturally and historically throughout the ages. Today, the entire Nation is
celebrating the Republic Day with great joy and pride. Republic Day marks the day when the
Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January 1950. Since then, India is growing and
has become the greatest democracy in the entire world.
Office bearers of Tourism Federation as well as prominent personalities of Jammu- Devinder
Batra (Chairman, Batra Group of Companies), Ashu Gupta (Treasurer, Chamber of
Commerce & Industry), Kuldeep Luthra (President, Jai Hind Manch J&K), Tapan Dubey
(Secretary, The Art Initiative), and prominent social activists Shalinder Vaid, Sanjay Kapoor
and Vikul Gupta were present on the occasion.
