Two terrorists were gunned down by security forces in an encounter in Hind Sita Pora area on Sunday morning. The slain terrorists have been identified as Javid Ahmad Bhat and Adil Bashir Wani who belong to Kulgam.
They have been found to be affiliated with the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The police said that both the terrorists were wanted by law for their involvement in a series of terror crimes. According to police records, they had a long history of terror crime records.
They were also wanted for their complicity in recruiting youth from adjoining Kulgam area to join the proscribed terror outfit group.
People have been asked not to venture into the encounter site and cooperate with the authorities.
