New Delhi:Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that after the United States and Israel, India is another nation no one can dare to mess with.
Speaking on the first day of the India Today conclave 2023, Amit Shah said that India did not have a defence policy before Narendra Modi became the prime minister in 2014.
"We did not have any defence policy before Narendra Modi became the prime minister of this country. Earlier, infiltration from Pakistan was a very common thing. Now, after the surgical strike and airstrikes (Balakot), no one can dare to infiltrate into Indian borders," Amit Shah said.
"Post India's strikes, the world received a message that after America and Israel, India is the third such nation that no one can dare to mess with," he added.
Amit Shah further said that India is currently the most secure nation in terms of external as well as internal security. "No one in the world can mess with the Indian Army and Indian borders. We want friendly relations with every country, but at the same time we won't tolerate any kind of interventions," he said.
When asked about the superpowers of the world, Amit Shah said the term superpower is redundant now. "We do not believe in the concept of superpower. We want to take our country forward and want it to be a leading nation in every sector of society. India will never think about becoming a superpower. Nor is it a culture of our country, nor can it be the goal," the BJP leader said.
