Never supplied ghee to Tirupati temple, says Amul

New Delhi :Vadodara: Amidst the massive row over the use of adulterated ghee in the preparation of the laddus at the Tirupati temple, home-grown dairy giant Amul issued a clarification on Friday stating that it had never supplied ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).Following the row, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), which produces Nandini ghee, clarified that it had stopped supplying Nandini ghee to TTD, which manages the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.

On Friday, following some posts on social media platforms, the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) issued a statement stating that Amul ghee was never supplied to the TTD.
"Amul Ghee is made from high-quality pure milk fat. The milk received at our dairies passes through stringent quality checks, including adulteration detection as specified by FSSAI," the statement issued by GCMMF said.
"We have issued the post to stop the misinformation campaign against Amul," a GCMMF official said, adding that Amul's ghee is India's most trusted ghee brand for more than 50 years.
