Six Awarded President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, 15 Receive Medal for Meritorious Service
Twenty-one officers and officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been selected for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) on the occasion of Independence Day 2026.
According to a press release issued by the CBI Information Section on August 14, six officers and officials have been conferred the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while 15 personnel have been honoured with the Medal for Meritorious Service.

The honours recognise the distinguished and meritorious service rendered by the CBI personnel in the discharge of their official responsibilities. The recognition comes as part of the Independence Day 2026 honours, acknowledging their contribution and dedicated service to the organisation.
