The Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has awarded the Letter of Award (LoA) for the development of an amusement park in the vicinity of IIM Jammu, marking a significant step towards strengthening Jammu’s tourism infrastructure and creating new avenues for employment and economic activity.
The proposed project is envisaged as a major recreational and tourism destination, offering enhanced entertainment facilities for residents as well as visitors to Jammu and contributing to the diversification of the region’s tourism offerings.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Rupesh Kumar described the project as a “game-changer for Jammu’s tourism sector”, stating that the initiative would add a new dimension to the city’s tourism and recreational infrastructure while generating opportunities for local employment and allied economic activities.
The Vice Chairman expressed his appreciation for the strategic guidance and continued support of the seniors, which has facilitated the JDA’s efforts to undertake development initiatives aimed at promoting tourism, investment and sustainable urban growth in Jammu.
The project reflects JDA’s continued commitment to unlocking the potential of its land resources through transparent, planned and investment-oriented development, while creating quality public amenities and supporting the broader economic development objectives of Jammu and Kashmir.
The amusement park, once developed, is expected to emerge as an important recreational destination and further enhance Jammu’s attractiveness as a tourism and investment hub.
