Senior Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader and former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi, father of Lal Chowk MLA Ahsan Pardesi, passed away on Tuesday evening.Pardesi was a veteran functionary of the National Conference and had also served as Joint Financial Commissioner before his retirement.
According to the family, his Nimaz-e-Janazah will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, November 4, at Eidgah Park, Batwara, Srinagar. He will subsequently be laid to rest at the family’s ancestral graveyard at Syed Kabir Sahib in Batwara.
His son, Ahsan Pardesi, whose full name is Sheikh Ahsan Ahmed, represents the Lal Chowk Assembly constituency in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
