In a press statement issued today, Brig Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party has complimented the entire nation forthe verdict delivered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Kulbhushan Jadhav case. The international court has named and shamed Pakistan and held Jadhav not guilty of spying. The global humiliation that Pakistan will undergoafter this verdict should put the Pakistani military to shame, stated Brig Gupta. The verdict has proved beyond doubt that Pakistan qualifies to be arogue nation since it promotes terrorism, nuclear proliferation and politicalkidnappings as a national core strategy, asserted Brig Gupta. Pakistan will have no option but to review the death sentence given to Jadhav as directed by the ICJ.
Of late, Pakistan is finding it difficult to withstand the might of India’s diplomatic offensive, asserted Brig Gupta. As a consequence of successful Balakot air strike, Pakistan has been forced to shift the terror camps to Afghanistan. Pakistan has also been forced to stop funding the terroro rganisations operating in Kashmir along with the Hurriyat. This coupled with the successful offensive launched by the NIA against terror funding has to a large extent broken the backbone of terrorism in Kashmir, stated Brig Gupta.
Brig Gupta said, “In another noticeable diplomatic victory,Pakistan for the first time was forced to miss the OIC summit where the Indianforeign minister was accorded the unprecedented honour of addressing thesummit. Pakistan also conceded to all the objections raised by India with respect to the Kartarpur Corridor including removal of Hafiz Saeed cronypro-Khalistani leader Gopal Singh Chawla.” He further said that by opening itsairspace unilaterally after India did not respond to its demand for India vacating the forward airbases occupied by IAF, Pakistan has proved that it isin no position to match India’s might.
“The drama being enacted by Pakistan in relation to arrest and release of Hafiz Saeed, is nothing but a show of a weak-kneed government which is unable to divorce itself from terrorism due to the pressure ofPakistan Army. However, due to India’s exposure of Pakistan at everyinternational platform including the fear of FATF is forcing the government toenact such dramas where one court orders his arrest and other frees him. Oneexpects Pakistan to continue such theatrics till October unless Pakistan takes real action and puts him on trial and convict him,” said Brig Gupta.
Pakistan has to realise sooner or later that it is an economically bankrupt state and its survival depends on divorcing terrorism and befriendingIndia, said Brig Gupta.
