I was also shocked to see a video in which DC Ramban ShowkatAijaz is seen riding a Palki.

As a former colleague I know him well. He is a very down toearth officer. That is why I was all the more surprised to see those pictures. Buton inquiring from locals I was told that the officer had gone for a publicoutreach program. After walking on footfor around 10 Kms the officer developed knee ache and severe breathlessness.

Since there was no transport, he had to be evacuated to nearby health facility on a makeshift stretcher. That's the story behind the pictures. Social media can be tricky.
