Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu zone, chaired a comprehensive review meeting on the functioning of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS). The meeting focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the system to enhance policing and citizen services.
The agenda points of the review included discussion on the utilization and optimization of the e-Sakshya module for seamless case management, evaluation of the implementation of e-Summons and ways to address challenges in its use, identification of challenges faced in feeding Integrated Investigation Forms (IIFs) and an overall assessment of the functioning of DeMTs, emphasizing their role in monitoring and troubleshooting CCTNS operations.
 During the meeting, ADGP Jammu zone emphasized the importance of timely and accurate data entry in CCTNS to ensure real-time availability of information for effective decision-making. He directed all officers to address the bottlenecks in feeding IIFs and to ensure strict adherence to timelines.
 Highlighting the significance of e-Sakshya and e-Summons in improving the efficiency of case handling and service delivery, the ADGP instructed the officers to conduct regular training sessions for police station staff to ensure optimum utilization of these modules.
The ADGP also stressed the critical role of District e-Mission Teams in maintaining the operational integrity of CCTNS. He called for proactive engagement by the teams to resolve technical issues, monitor performance, and support police stations in achieving the objectives of the CCTNS project.
 Officers attending the meeting shared feedback on the challenges faced in implementation and suggested practical measures to improve overall performance. The ADGP concluded the meeting with a directive to all DIGs and SSPs to regularly monitor the functioning of CCTNS in their jurisdictions and to ensure the system's seamless operation.
 The meeting was attended by all Range DIGs; District SSPs; SO to ADGP Jammu; Sr. PO ZPHQ Jammu; Incharge CCTNS section, ZPHQ Jammu; and In-charge CCTNS of police stations across the Jammu zone.
