Amid rising border tensions following a series of skirmishes, the armies of India and Pakistan are set to hold a flag meeting today.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Line of Control (LoC) crossing point at Chakan Da Bagh in Poonch district, with senior officers from both sides participating.

Official sources said the meeting was arranged in response to recent incidents of firing, sniping, and IED explosions along the LoC in Rajouri, Poonch, and Jammu districts.

They added that senior officers from both armies will convene to discuss ways to de-escalate tensions.
