National Conference president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah attended the proceedings of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from the Speaker’s Gallery on Tuesday as the House entered the sixth day of the ongoing session.
According to news agency KNC, Dr Farooq Abdullah was present in the gallery while legislators took up various issues and participated in discussions concerning matters of public interest.
His appearance in the Assembly came a day after the House passed a resolution seeking restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
The ongoing session began on September 22 and has witnessed discussions on a range of legislative, governance and public-interest matters.
The proceedings on Tuesday continued amid interventions and exchanges between members as legislators raised issues concerning administration, development and the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Assembly is scheduled to continue its deliberations on various matters during the remaining days of the session.
